Facilitate progress in speech and language areas for students K-12 throughout the Moss Point School District as assigned. |
| Duties: | Identify, evaluate, and remediate any disabilities in the areas of articulation, language, voice, o fluency
Identify and assess any disabilities in the area of hearing
Coordinate activities with the regular education or special education teacher to ensure a quality education for each student.
Conduct therapy in accordance with the policies of the state accrediting body and the local school board.
Prepare therapy plans and monitor the progress of each student.
Maintain and update the records of each student.
Maintain contact with parents to keep them updated on their child's progress.
Initiate evaluation procedures for those students needing services.
Attend IEP meeting and prepare documentation appropriate for the child's IEP file.
Monitor supplies and notify appropriate personnel when materials are needed.
Provide a positive role model for students, parents, and citizens of the community. |
| Qualifications: | Master's degree, certificate of clinical competence, MS teaching license |
